Rgvas is home to Rio Grand Valley South Texas Karate, under the direction of Sensi Gonzalez. Sensi Gonzalez has over 20 yrs of Police training and is a current cadet training officer for the Harlingen Police Department. Sensi also has multiple black belts. He offers classes for Little Lions ages 3-5 as well as younger students 6-11 and older students and adults. There are several families that train together. Unlimited classes are offered Monday- Thursday and Sat. Saturday training is no Gi, and multi hours of conditioning including but not limited to Kick Boxing. Forms and Katas are also drilled on sat. Class sizes are small and focus on proper safe technique as well as daily life lessons and values that every student needs to be reminded of.
